Justice Jayant Govind Chitre, B.Com., LL.B. : Was born on January 21, 1942. He was enrolled as an Advocate on June 27, 1964 and practised in the Jalgaon and Dhule District Courts in Criminal and Civil matters. He entered into the Judicial Service on July 11, 1978 and District Judge from the Bar. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on January 20, 1994. He was transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court on February 8, 1994. He was appointed as a permanent Judge on February 18, 1995. Transferred back to the Bombay High Court on August 31, 2001. Retired on 21th January 2004.
